Are you up for it...?
In 2016 we introduced the team challenges, and these have grown in popularity each year since.
By getting together and entering a team, you can enjoy the race experience and support the charities, and maybe improve your fitness too!

All the money raised by the races is donated to our selected charities - in 2019 these were Cre8, The Rossendale Trust, Just Drop-In and Friends for Leisure.
Teams entered from a school (including parents, staff, governors or pupils if old enough) are eligible to win the Schools trophy.
How it works:
-
Get together and decide on your team name. You can enter teams in the Macc Half Marathon, 5k, or both. The 10k is not part of the Community Team Challenge this year.
-
When you enter, select the entry option for the Community Team Challenge. You'll then be asked to enter your team name. Please try to make sure all team members enter exactly the same team name to complete the entry
-
If your team is from a school please check the box to confirm
-
Note there is no extra cost to enter the team challenge, and you can also register as a member of a recognised Athletics club and benefit from a discount
In each challenge there will be prizes for:
-
Best team in the Half Marathon (3 finishers to count)
-
Best team in 5k (5 finishers to count)
Here are the 2019 winners! Congratulations to everyone who took part.
