Information for Athletes who have already registered for 2020 Event
The RunMaccFest races are organised by volunteers and surplus funds from the event are donated to our charity partners. We have cancelled the 2020 event before incurring substantial costs such as venue hire and traffic management. However, one of our primary objectives is to raise much needed funds for our local charity partners; The Rossendale Trust, Just Drop-In and Cre8. We know that all of them have been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic and cancellation of fundraising events.
We will be contacting all entrants registered for the 2020 event by end May via our entries system. There are several options that runners can choose.
1. Defer your entry to the 2021 RunMaccFest planned for 19th September 2021
We look forward to welcoming you to be on the start line of the 2021 races.
2. Cancel your 2020 Entry and donate your entry fee to charity partners
We would be very grateful is you would consider this option. Our charity partners have been hit hard by Covid-19 and are in need of your help.
3. Cancel your 2020 entry and request a refund
This will be subject to a transaction fee and the money may take a few weeks to be credited to your account.
4. Do Nothing and donate your 2020 entry fee to our charity partners
If you decide not to do anything before 30th June 2020, we will cancel your entry and donate your entry fee to our charity partners.
